Founded in 1963 by the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, Ursuline Preschool & Kindergarten offers the highest level of education available for your children, including: 

  • Licensed by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE)
  • All of our teachers’ credentials exceed state minimums
  • All of our support staff also are licensed and credentialed by the ODE
  • All of our teachers and staff have current BCI and FBI background checks and are CPR certified
  • Our Kindergarten is chartered through the ODE and follows all state standards
  • We are one of the longest-running preschool and Kindergarten Programs in the Mahoning Valley
  • We offer cutting-edge technology in every classroom and have a dedicated technology teacher
  • We offer secured entrances/exits and security cameras on premises

Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten, rooted in Catholic traditions, will bring the light of Jesus to its students as we:

Schedules & Info

  • Five full days (Monday through Friday)
  • 8:30 a.m.- 3 p.m.
  • Child must be five years old by September 30th

Bio

Teddi was hired as a teaching assistant in the winter of 2019. She and her husband have two sons who both attend St. Christine Elementary School. Teddi was a stay-at-home mom for 11 years before beginning her career at UPSK in 2018. Teddi attended YSU and is a true Notre Dame fan.

Samantha Mediate

Bio

Samantha has lived in Youngstown her entire life. She graduated from Chaney High School and continued her education at YSU. Samantha has a BS in Education and an Early Childhood Education teaching licensure. She has been a teacher in the area for over 10 years and joined UPSK in 2019. Samantha enjoys going to auctions and antique stores. She also enjoys singing, reading, and playing volleyball.
